Our Client is a well known retail/e-commerce organisation.

Functie

As the Director Reporting & Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, accounting, and compliance within a fast-paced retail environment. Leading four teams, you will ensure accurate financial statements, drive process improvements, and support strategic decision-making. You will act as a key business partner to the CFO and other senior stakeholders.

• Lead and manage four teams (totaling approximately 25 FTE) within the Reporting & Accounting function.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP regulations.
• Ensure internal controls, financial processes, and compliance measures are effectively implemented and maintained.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Act as a key liaison with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide strategic insights and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including FP&A, Treasury, and Business Operations, to align financial strategies with company objectives.
• Develop and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture and professional growth.

Profiel

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial reporting and accounting, preferably within the retail or consumer goods industry.
• Proven leadership experience in managing multiple teams and large-scale financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
